REAL AMERICANS WON'T VOTE DEMOCRATIC

"If JFK gave his Inaugural Address now, with its emphasis on country and liberty, he'd be booed off the stage in Denver."

Hillary Clinton is a closet McCain Supporter. Whom do you really believe she will vote for on November 4? Senator Clinton, a long-time admirer of John McCain, has repeatedly said she believes Senator Obama is not ready to for the presidency because he lacks the experience necessary to lead. She said,"In this election we need a nominee who can pass the Commander in Chief test. ... Senator McCain will bring a time of experience to the campaign. I will bring a lifetime of experience and Senator Obama will bring a speech he gave in 2002. I think that is a significant difference."

Dear Friends: I wrote the following to "Athena," a Hillary Supporter (and apparently, a FORMER Democrat) who is now backing John McCain. She does not believe the Democratic Party is going to be reformed in her lifetime. She is dead right.

I hope Republican candidates in all states will say something similar to what I did to Athena. THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEM AS INDIVIDUALS. THEY WANT THEIR VOTE BUT NOT THEIR INPUT.

Candidates like Steve Sauerberg (Illinois, against Dick Durbin) and Jeff Beatty (Massachusetts, against John Kerry) must provide some hard truths to Democrats in their state. If the truth hurts, so be it. Truth is always superior to fantasies and illusions.

I'm going around telling people to LEAVE the Democrat Party, to become independents or Republicans. To my amazement, a good many of them are, including Athena. If Steve and Jeff can convince many Democrats to do the same, they will win. If they don't, they will lose. Letter to Athena follows:

Athena, I'll work with you anyway you want. Heck, you can have a kidney if you need one!

http://dncreform.com is the key. My own congressman, Jason Altmire, represents a district where Hillary won two-to-one (plus). She won my county (Beaver, home of Joe Namath and Mike Ditka) by 28,000 to 12,000. All my relatives voted for her. Jason Altmire got $10,000 from Barack Obama (see dncreform). Guess who Jason Altmire is backing?

Patrick Murphy, congressman and beloved of Moveon, which HATES HRC has a district that also went for Hillary by two-to-one. He got $18,000 from BHO. He was one of the first in the country to back Obama.

They believe Democrats in PA are stupid. They believe they will get away with it, and they probably will. PA Dems (some) believe JFK is still running things. But the issues confronting this country are life-and-death, and it's no longer okay for people to vote like robots.

The Democratic Party has become a refuge for people who are cynical, unpatriotic, and committed to a form of socialism that's little more than vote-buying. The America the Democrats see has more in common with Hugo Chavez than with George Washington or John F. Kennedy.

If JFK gave his inaugural address, with its emphasis on country and liberty, he'd be booed off the stage in Denver. Good people know that, and that's why they want nothing to do with modern Democratic Party.

It ticks me off. It almost breaks my heart.

Hillary's colleagues in the Senate deserted her in droves. WV went for Hillary by a huge margin, but good ole Jay Rockefeller backed Obama. Bob Casey did the same thing in Pennsylvania.

As I said, who exactly is going to reform the Democratic Party? It's much, much worse than people think. There's contempt for the voters.

How could HRC ever have gotten the nomination when states voted massively for her and all the SDs (Massachusetts, esp.) went for Obama. Those facts make Hillary's speech in Denver all the more disgraceful. Thankfully, her manic, self-aborbed campaign is finally over. Hopefully, she'll spend her free time working on character issues, the ones that led her to choose Party over Country.

There, Athena, you got me wound up. Congrats for you on McCain. He's an American hero and an honorable man -- and Obama isn't.

National Support for PA Candidates

Many Republican candidates for the Senate and House deserve national support, and I'm doing what I can to make sure they get it. The following message to national leaders focuses on two Senate candidates (Dr. Steve Sauerberg against Obama sycophant Dick Durbin in Illinois and Jeff Beatty against Obama Supporter John Kerry in Massachusetts) and two House candidates (Melissa Hart in western PA and Toni Gilhooley in central PA).

Katie and others, as you know I have to "pick my spots" somewhat carefully. I will be sending out a mass mailing (and telling people to please alert their friends, family, and acquaintances to support certain candidates who are running against people who shafted Hillary Clinton). I need to keep the candidate numbers low enough not to turn people off with sheer volume. The candidates I'm zeroing in on are Steve Sauerberg (Illinois Senate), Jeff Beatty (Senate Mass.), Melissa Hart (Congress 4th District, my district, western PA), and Toni Gilhooley (PA 17th district, Harrisburg and surrounding area). I will ask people to highlight these candidates on their blogs and to send money ("at least a modest contribution"), and urge everyone to support them in any ways possible. The "Hillary-crats" I'm dealing with are mainly "Reagan Democrats.

Sauerberg and Beatty you know about. Details about Hart and Gilhooley are on their sites. These people are friends and very dear to me. Alicia Collins is Melissa's campaign manager. Jake Burns is Toni's campaign manager. Melissa's opponent, Jason Altmire, is anti-military and one of Pelosi's political "boy toys." Toni's opponent (Tim Holden) is a poor excuse for a human being who says he supports "moot" at the Democratic Convention. Is that Mr. Moot or Mrs. Moot?

Are there other terrific candidates for Congress in PA? In fact, there are many, and I'll be citing them this weekend. As far as their efforts to win, I'm going to do what I can -- when I can.

I firmly believe that for any of these candidates to win they MUST go after the Hillary Supporters. They can't win with Republicans alone. In most cases, their opponents have helped them by stabbing Sen. Clinton in the back.

My goal is to make 15,000 to 25,000 people nationally aware of the four candidates. They need financial supporters, and they need individuals across the country to advocate their candidacies.

Democrats Caused Gas Price Spike

The column below is from my national blog focuses on one senatorial race -- Illinois Republican Steve Sauerberg against Sen. Dick Durbin. But the points apply to every race for federal office, from the presidency on down. (http://sauerbergforussenate.com)

Of course, the Democrats want to blame George W. Bush for everything but President Bush has been warning for many years about the consequences of our "addiction to oil." He has been emphasizing the need for more production.

The Democrats should not get away with scapegoating, because the responsibility for mushrooming gasoline prices is theirs and their alone.

Gasoline prices are what is going to defeat many Democrats in this year's election. It will be the reasons for the currently unexpected losses of congressional representatives like Jason Altmire, (opposed by Melissa Hart), Tim Holden (opposed by Toni Gilhooley), Patrick Murphy (opposed by Tom Manion), and Allyson Schwartz (opposed by Marina Kats). They're the ones who voted to prohibit oil exploration and refinery expansions. George W. Bush did not "force" them in ways that have led to the disaster of $4-plus gasoline prices.

Barack Obama has said basically that skyrocketing gas prices are a good thing. He is going to regret such comments. People who believe rising gas prices are good thing are not going to get elected to anything.

When the Democrats took over Congress in 2006, Nancy Pelosi said she was "going to do something" about gasoline prices. She has. Under her "leadership," gasoline prices have gone up 75%. That's a point Republican challengers should drive home every day.

Issue #1 in the coming election is going to be the rapidly rising gasoline prices. It will not be Iraq, nor will it be health care or the overall economy. So . . .

How can individuals like Steve Sauerberg, Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate from Illinois (opposing Sen. Dick Durbin) pull off a totally unexpected victory? He needs to get across the point that re-electing people who are the causes of the nation's problems is a form of political insanity (i.e., doing the same thing repeatedly and hoping somehow for a different result).

A key point GOP challengers for federal offices must make is this: Only 22% of the American people approve of the performance of Congress, but many people are quick to defend their local person. In fact, Dick Durbin -- and many others like him -- ARE the Congress.

Durbin has been part of it since 1982, and anything that's wrong with it is frankly his fault. He's not somehow divorced from its failures. They're HIS failures.

Left-wing Democrats like Durbin have sought to blame the oil companies. In fact, it's not necessary to love those companies to recognize that they are in fact the ones that produce all the oil and gasoline. The producers are not the cause of the pain we all feel at the pump. The cause of the problem is a Congress that seeks to deflect blame -- and that has voted repeatedly with environmental extremists.

Over the years, Durbin and his allies have done everything in their power to ensure a rapid rise in gas prices. Voting against production -- and against creating new refineries -- is now exacting a terrible cost on the American people.

During Dick Durbin's tenure in Congress (since 1982), gasoline prices have more than tripled! (See http://moveondickdurbin.org).

What did Durbin do to prevent the gas price catastrophe? Nothing. What did he do to warn the American people? Nothing. So, what can we expect from a future Congress full of Durbins? Would you believe gasoline at $6-$7 a gallon (or more)? What is Durbin's plan to prevent such an economy-destroying development? He has none.

In fact, his approach is to ensure the U.S. produces LESS oil -- presumably so we can become more dependent on the Hugo Chavezes of the world.

The people of Illinois will re-elect someone like Durbin at their peril. He's presiding over the destruction of the American way-of-life, and he shouldn't be rewarded for that.

Steve Sauerberg & PA Candidates

In response to my recommendations to Illinois Republican Senatorial candidate Steve Sauerberg, Mary in his campaign responsded rapidly. She established today a new web site: http://moveondickdurbin.org. Anyone for move on Jason Altmire, or Patrick Murphy, or John Murtha, or Tim Holden? The following is my response to Mary.

Mary, God bless. I don't really mean to be the world's biggest Know-It-All but there some practical things that never seem to happen in campaigns. Your MoveOn Dick Durbin is a wonderful idea. Hammer away at him every day. He's a wimp. I hope Steve Sauerberg keeps asking him why gas prices went through the roof. Dems want to blame George Bush for everything, but what exactly is Durbin doing in Congress? What are any of them doing? If we send him back, what's our reward: $8 a gallon gas? Falling home prices? Skyrocketing food prices? Major tax increases? It may not be possible for Steve to confront Durbin face-to-face on these issues -- he will remain in hiding. But MoveOnDickDurbin.org is a good place to beat him up. I believe it's important to hit these people hard. They have been AWFUL, the worst legislators in the history of the country, a bunch of people committed to preserving their jobs rather than protecting the country. Their response to all this is to raise millions of dollars from left-wingspecial interests that are themselves the cause of most of our nation's problems. If you want you can, reprint this -- or anything you see from me.

I'm urging everyone who visits any of my sites to join Clintons4McCain, a site of Hillary Clinton supporters who are now committed to the election of John McCain. That large -- and rapidly growing -- group needs the support of everyone opposed to the election of Barack Obama.

Republican senatorial candidate (Illinois) Steve Sauerberg with his wife and daughter.

Today, I contributed $25 to the campaign of Steve Sauerberg, a medical doctor and humanitarian who's running against incumbent Dick Durbin. I hope you'll do the same today.

However, what does Sauerberg have in common with the Pennsylvania congressional candidates I usually discuss?

For one things, the Pennsylvania challengers and Sauerberg share some committed Illinois supporters, including Beverly Perlson, founder of The Band of Mothers web site. I know Bev has contributed to Tom Manion, Republican candidate in PA's 8th district (Bucks County). I'm also hoping Pennsylvanians will donate to Dr. Sauerberg's campaign. The goal is to "nationalize" campaigns -- make them 50-state efforts, with contributors from across the nation.

To that end, Sauerberg can learn some things from the PA candidates:

First, his web site -- one he probably paid top-dollar for -- has problems. It's much too hard to donate there. He needs to simplify the process. In doing so, he should take a look at Toni Gilhooley's (17th district Republican candidate) web site. At first, it struck me as somewhat home-made, but in fact it's easy to contribute there. If you look at both sites (and, hopefully, make at least a small donation to each candidate), you'll see what I mean.

(The sites for Melissa Hart and Tom Manion are also easier to use than Sauerberg's.)

Second, the Sauerberg web site currently focuses on political corruption, something that seems endemic to Illinois politics. (The previous governor -- Republican -- is in jail and the current governor seems headed in that direction.) In fact, the web site should be focusing on other things, particularly gasoline prices, which will be the most important issue in this campaign.

I wish there were a web-site picture of Sauerberg standing next to a gas pump showing the current prices. Then, I wish he would say that Sen. Dick Durbin and his colleagues are directly responsible for those prices. "If you're happy with the current gasoline situation, then send Dick Durbin back to the Senate. If not, send me."

Saurerberg needs to highlight the fact that, since the Democrats took over Congress at the beginning of 2007, gasoline prices have gone up 75%.. Also under the Democrats, food prices have skyrocketed and the housing market collapsed.

Third, Sauerberg should have a short video on his web site. It should contain perhaps 125 words of comments, focusing on the candidate's need for support -- and, especially, for contributions. (I have a model of such an appeal, and it's available free-of-charge to GOP candidates.) Visitors to Sauerberg's web site -- and they should total a million-plus -- will respond to videos.

Fourth, Sauerberg's site should also have a direct outreach to supporters of Hillary Clinton. Dick Durbin is joined at the hip to the Obama candidacy. As I've been pointing out, many Hillary supporters are angry at Obama and his campaign, and they're open to appeals from honesty-in-government candidate's like Sauerberg.

Frankly, a candidate like Dr. Sauerberg can't even come close without attracting a huge number of Hillary Clinton supporters. Visit web site like Clintons4McCain and JustSayNoDeal to get a sense of the political opportunities.

Will these recommendations help not only the Sauerberg campaign but just about every Republican effort? Yes. Candidates need to use methods that will touch voters's hearts and heads.

Can Steve Sauerberg actually beat an entrenched Democrat like Dick Durbin -- especially with Illinois resident Barack Obama heading the ticket? Let's put it this way: If Steve runs a terrific campaign and accumulates an army of supporters, he probably can be -- sooner or later -- a U.S. Senator from Illinois. If he pulls out all the stops, including the ones I've suggested, he should do well in the November election.
